A Complete Thought
If you know me you have traveled with me through years of deterioration and pain stemming from my orthopaedic condition. You are now traveling with me through the strength-building process. This exhibit is to be the closing statement on the "handicapped" period of my life. I hope it also translated into an opening statement for a form of rebirth. I say this because I am like a baby in the process of walking. These paintings were made while I was waiting for and just after surgery. They are my visual journey of that stressful time. They helped me work through the mental process of dealing with my situation. Those of you who know me will see these thoughts/paintings put together for the first time. If you don’t know me you may still find these works interesting because disintegration and pain are human conditions and thus these paintings can translate across the divide from me to you.
